At the 2025 AGM held on 15 October 2025 the proposal to wind up the Shackleton Association at the end of 2025 was accepted and unanimously agreed.

You can no longer join the Shackleton Association as it was, but you can still join us in our private Facebook group to make contact and keep in touch with other ex-shackleton personnel.

Subscription Membership Ended on 31 December 2025

The Shackleton Association membership ended on 31st December 2025. The last issue of our newsletter, 'The Growler' issue number 150 was published in December 2025.

• All existing members who pay their subscriptions by standing order should cancel their standing orders.

• Asking the younger generation (your children, grand children etc..) to set up your Facebook account might be the easiest option for you!
