The Growler - official newsletter of the Shackleton Association

The latest version of the finest Association Newsletter ever is out now, containing the best in Avro Shackleton chat, photographs, drawings, articles, etc. Etc. Here’s a letter from the Winter 2011 edition....
Spud Murphy asks if the Growler could make itself useful after the annual Newquay Bash by finding the answers to one of the most common types of question to be heard there. He says, “The Kilbirnie hotel has always obliged us by seating the Shack. crowd together for ordinary meals on days before our main event. Great discussions etc. and all kinds of stories about those times and people of our pasts. Often it’s been the case that no one knew anything about the recent location of the him/her/them under discussion. Could you consider having a corner of the Growler devoted to Where are they now?”
We could indeed Spud - if we get enough trade. Ask away readers, but remember that we are bound by the privacy rules in the Data Protection Act and would need to stick firmly to its provisions. If it proves popular enough we will find a corner.
